MARDAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Inspector General Salahuddin Mehsud said that provincial government would recruit 2500 policemen to safeguard the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor-related projects.
While addressing, police liaison council members and elders of the region on Wednesday at Police lines Mardan, the IG said that terror incidents had declined by 83 per cent and crime declined by 17 per cent as compared to 2014.
New Police Act 2017 was being implemented in letter and spirit under which police force would be made more transparent and answerable to the public, he added.
The IGP said police force was committed to ensuring lasting peace across the province by defeating militancy in all forms, but these efforts are supplemented through joint efforts by all institutions and people to achieve the desired goal.Read More
